Island Reef from 1770 for over 16 years. We strive to offer our visitors a variety of activities to
enjoy all that the Great Barrier Reef has to offer and provide an informative, value for
money, & memorable experience for all age groups.

Lady Musgrave Island Reef

Lady Musgrave Island and Lagoon is a true coral cay situated only 32 nautical miles from
the Town of 1770. The island is set on 3000 acres of living reef with a 1000 acre coral lagoon
that is unique to the entire Great Barrier Reef. It's the only coral island & navigable lagoon of
its kind on the Great Barrier Reef. A vast, calm, turquoise lagoon with white sandy beaches
and native Pisonia forests completes the picture of Lady Musgrave Island and Coral Lagoon.
The lagoon is home to over 1300 varieties of tropical fish and 350 species of colourful hard
and soft coral. The lagoon is a protected Green Zone and has never been fished and
therefore offers an abundance of large & rare marine life throughout the lagoon & around our
pontoon. Swim with turtles, snorkel, walk on the white coral sands and explore the tropical
Pisonia forest, abundant with bird life.

Southern Great Barrier Reef - Where Great Begins-Lady Musgrave Island & Lagoon is situated at the Southern
tip of the reef and offers some of the most colourful coral on the reef. The Southern Great
Barrier Reef is free from stingers so one can swim & snorkel all year round without stinger
suits in this unique, protected lagoon – a protected pool full of coral, fish & turtles which is ideal for
all age groups to explore one of the seven wonders of the world..
